HRE Performance Wheels | Luxury Street Motorsport

One perk about being on the west coast, is that there are cool automotive events nearly every weekend. HRE is involved with so many shops and people, that occasionally we are able to attend some pretty unique gatherings of automotive machinery. This past weekend we were invited up to comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla’s private workshop where he records his “Car Cast” show (the #1 automotive show on iTunes) to enjoy a barbecue with Adam’s crew and to record a little segment for an upcoming episode. Our friends at BBI Autosport aren’t too far away, so we invited them to join us and bring down a very special 996 Turbo.

When we showed up there was already quite a collection of special vehicles parked out front, including an Alfa GTV Racecar, a stunning early Porsche 911, a beautifully restored Porsche 356, a Baja 1000 trim Ford Bronco race truck and more. One thing that really stood out is the entire building is painted in Gulf livery like a GT40 or 917, to make sure you know Adam is a gearhead just like the rest of us. Inside was an array of remote control airplanes, minibikes, go karts, Italian and American exotics, every tool you could imagine and Adam’s prized supercharged E46 M3.

Betim from BBI knew that his 904 whp Porsche turbo would definitely attract some attention, and with a set of 19″ HRE P40  wheels finished with a brushed clearcoat it was a jaw-dropper.

Adam and his co-host Sandy Ganz took time to interview some attendees for the show and spoke to Betim about this sleeper 996TT. Overall, it was an interesting look into what one of our favorite car guys/comedians does in his spare time and was quite a treat.
