Santini and American Super Car take best design honors from General Motors and Chrysler at leading auto trade show

VISTA, Calif., Nov. 26, 2007 – HRE Performance Wheels, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality forged aluminum custom wheels, today announced its wheels were used on two vehicles that garnered best-of-show design awards at the 2007 SEMA Show, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.

Santini USA Paint & Body (www.santiniusa.com), a leading auto design and paint shop, was awarded the Chrysler Design Award for Best Chrysler at SEMA. The winning automobile was a 2008 Chrysler 300C in all satin black with satin-brushed aluminum chrome trim. The car featured 22″ 945R HRE Performance Wheels with a flat black finish on the spokes and a brushed aluminum on the outside lip. “The wheels we got from HRE were stunning and contributed to the overall look and feel of the vehicle,” said Pete Santini of Santini USA Paint & Body.

American Super Car (www.americansupercarinc.com), one of the country’s top auto builders, was awarded the GM Design Award for Best GM at SEMA. The car was a custom Corvette named the V7 twin turbo, featuring 597R dual 5-spoke HRE Performance Wheels. “We turned to HRE for the right wheels for our cars, and they delivered style and performance,” said Mark Harlan of American Super Car. The V7 blends the heritage of America’s sports car, the original Corvette Stingray, with today’s cutting-edge technologies. The V7 incorporates a mid-engine race chassis, outfitted with a twin turbo 1000 horsepower Chevy LS motor.
