New Machines, Same Quality: A Look at TUV Verification
Continued growth in our industry leading Monoblok forged one-piece wheel has forced us to add another Toyoda Horizontal Mill which should arrive later this month, reducing lead-times and allowing for continued expansion. With the release of new top-tier super cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin, HRE is once again setting the standard with new wheel releases to support the demands of these most discerning customers.
There are a number of new wheel companies coming into the market who claim to be of the same quality as HRE. They mistakenly believe that simply using 6061-T6 aluminum translates into HRE quality. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Not only is our 6061-T6 supplied by the same forging supplier that supplies OE forged wheels for the Ferrari 458, Audi R8, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis and others, but as we noted above with the new machine addition, HRE engineers and manufactures our wheels entirely in-house which enables us to achieve unparalleled quality.
As part of our commitment to quality, in 2007 HRE took the difficult step of having our manufacturing and quality control processes audited and certified to TUV Verification status by German TUV officials. This guarantees that not only are all of our wheels designed to TUV standards, but that they’re manufactured to TUV standards as well. This is an important distinction.
