For those not familiar, NISEI is an annual cultural exhibition that showcases Japanese heritage with a series of events, demonstrations, shows and culinary tours. This year the show was in downtown Los Angeles and included what is rapidly becoming one of the nation’s premiere import car shows. The 11th Annual Nisei Week Showoff Car Show was held August 14th, 2010 in Little Tokyo and included a wide variety of high-end import show and race cars, including late-model supercars, drift cars and Japanese classics. Cars were judged on functionality, build quality and form, with the winner receiving a six foot trophy and a $1,000 prize, and the runner-up received $500 and a five foot trophy. Over 350 cars showed up, and our good friend and ace photographer John Zhang covered the event. Check out some fantastic HRE equipped rides from the show, and visit John’s website, 1013mm.com, for more event coverage.
