Fall-Line Motorsports Wins while Rum Bum Racing Extends Overall Lead at Indianapolis

July 29th, 2013

The latest round of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last Friday and saw Fall-Line Motorsports claim their second consecutive victory in the last three races.

Following lengthy caution periods, Bryan Sellers and Mark Boden piloted their #46 Trim-Tex/BCKSTGR BMW M3 on HRE R43 forged wheels across the finish line with a best lap time of 1:35.877 at the Brickyard. Their one-stop strategy paid-off late as the race finished under full course caution.

Fellow teammates, Charles Espenlaub and 17-year-old Trent Hindman in the #48 BMW M3 finished fourth while Al Carter and Hugh Plumb in the #45 BMW M3 failed to finish following a costly pit stop error.

Rum Bum Racing took fifth place and extended their overall team championship lead to 33 points. Nick Longhi and Matt Plumb, both also dominating the driver standings, did not fare so well under the yellow flag, but managed to work their HRE-equipped Porsche 911 through the field for a solid finish.

Following a two-week break, both teams will be back in action at Road America in Wisconsin on August 8th.

HRE Wheels congratulates both teams on an overall successful race.
