The #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products BMW finished first at a rain-stricken Watkins Glen with a fastest lap of 2:02.252. Bryan Sellers and Mark Boden piloted the winning E92 M3 in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge to join fellow team-members Hugh Plumb and Al Carter on the podium, who placed third in the #45 Eagle BMW M3. Charles Espenlaub and Charlie Putman also finished fourth in the #48 BMW M3. All three cars sported HRE R43 forged race wheels.
In the same race, Rum Bum Racing, coming off a win in their newly-unveiled Porsche 997 GTS at Mid-Ohio, also placed second with their HRE-supported Porsche 911, driven by Matt Plumb (brother to Hugh) and Nick Longhi. After a rough start (qualified eighth) and several unfortunate incidences, Plumb and Longhi stormed back and finished strong.
Catch these two teams back in action on July 27 at the famous, Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard Grand Prix.
