Rhys Millen Racing and Fall-Line Motorsports Win Big!

September 19th, 2014

Amidst a damp track, Fall-Line Motorsports made a great call utilizing rain tires on the #46 HRE-equipped BMW M3 to reel in the leading Tom Kimber-Smith, in the closing laps of Friday's Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race at the always exciting, Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

With just one more race left on the calender, Trent Hindman and John Edwards scored just their second, top podium finish of the season, with Hindman once again leading the driver leaderboards. All will be decided at Road Atlanta in two-weeks time on October 3.

While at the Red Bull Global Rallycross event in Los Angeles, in his Hyundai Veloster Turbo on HRE Forged R43, Rhys Millen was the star of the show, qualifying third, winning his semifinal and taking a dominant victory over Ken Block.

“To sum it up, it’s been testing,” Millen said of his recent success. “We’ve had time to go to the events, not only to compete, but to go a week early and actually develop the car. We found the right combination in Charlotte, got it right in Daytona, and followed it up this weekend. So really it’s just hard work and sweat that’s got the car running fast.”

Results from Sunday’s final are as follows:

  1. Rhys Millen, #67 Hyundai/Rhys Millen Racing Veloster Turbo
  2. Ken Block, #43 Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Fiesta ST
  3. Joni Wiman, #31 Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta ST
  4. Sverre Isachsen, #11 Subaru Rally Team USA WRX STI
  5. Bucky Lasek, #81 Subaru Rally Team USA WRX STI

HRE Wheels congratulates Rhys Millen Racing and Fall-Line Motorsports for well-deserved wins.
