Wrap-Up: HRE at SEMA 2013

November 12th, 2013

SEMA 2013 was the largest SEMA Show of all time and HRE Wheels was front row and center (literally) in Las Vegas this year. The festivities kicked off on Tuesday with the unveiling of the Pure Vision built, HRE-equipped, twin-turbo 1972 Chevy Camaro. Pure Vision's 1400 horsepower Camaro captured the attention of not only showgoers, but the folks at General Motors and earned this year's prestigious GM design award.

Next to the "TT" Camaro in the HRE booth was Ferrari's latest stunning F12berlinetta sporting HRE Forged P101 and P107, a Rolls-Royce Ghost equipped with both TR45 and our newest 24" 943RL. For the latest in American vehicles a twin-turbo SRT Viper from Racing Solutions, Inc. was showing off the all-new P106 6-lug wheel and a new Chevy C7 Corvette Stingray wearing P104 and S107 from the folks at Piccione Performance. We also featured a BMW 335i M-Performance to show off our new finishes for the popular FlowForm line, designed for budget-minded enthusiasts looking for a gateway into the HRE brand.

Outside of the HRE booth, muscle car magicians, The Ringbrothers, unveiled three new HRE equipped vehicles at the show. First was the 710 horsepower, Nascar-powered, 1965 "Blizzard" Mustang on HRE 560R wheels, followed by the "ADRNLN" '71 Pantera on our latest three-piece S101s. The final RB vehicle, nicknamed "Carbon Copy", was a completely carbon 1965 Mustang Fastback equipped with the HRE 593RS in the new Brushed Dark Clear finish.

In addition to these, there were lots of notable HRE builds from many of our industry partners and dealers such as Mickey Andrade's RicFlare BMW E91, the Black Ops Saleen Mustang from 281 Motorsports, Crooks&Castles' Ferrari 458 and Creations N' Chrome's Top Notch with a new look for 2013.

SEMA 2013 also saw the debut of our augmented reality app that allows you to take advantage of various interactive features in our catalogs, magazine advertisements and other collateral. With this app, you are able to view exclusive content, photos and videos in addition to detailed multi-angle views of enabled wheel series. Look for the HRE wheels app logo on HRE related images and scan to view content. The app is now available for iOS and Android devices.

A big part of SEMA is the opportunity for some of the biggest media outlets to come by and talk wheels with the team and we were lucky enough to spend some time with the folks at Motor Trend to talk a bit about the HRE philosophy. Check out the story and photos HERE.
