HRE WHEELS BRINGS BACK CLASSIC 540 DESIGN
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, HRE Wheels is bringing back a timeless wheel design, known as the 540. The 540 Series initially came to market in 1998 and quickly became one of HRE’s most popular designs.
Today, the model returns in three different styles, the standard flange (540), the rolled flange (540C) and reverse drop center with rolled flange (540R):
The re-engineered 540 Series wheel starts at $1100 each and will be available in 17”-22” and 24” diameters, with the larger diameters being load rated for SUVs. Center lock applications are also available.
“In the late ‘90s, I had just started as a young engineer at HRE and the 540 style was our iconic wheel,” said HRE President Alan Peltier. “It was synonymous with the HRE brand and continued to be our most influential style for several years; a testament to its elegant blend of performance and beauty. It is particularly exciting for me to bring it back, and for all of us to see how absolutely gorgeous it is on today’s cars.”
